Good ol' Flagstaff. I didn't expect to see so many young-in's here! I quickly learned that it's home to Northern Arizona University.

I had two nights booked at The L Motel (a small budget motel). The first night was spent stuffing my face at Chipotle and having frozen yogurt at YogurtU. The next morning was spent driving north to the Grand Canyon, where I took a quick hike along the South Kaibab Trail, down to Cedars Point and back. I ran into lots of wind, sweaty people and nervous mules. And was SO glad about bringing that 'extra' jug of water.

After accomplishing my morning hike, I decided to dash over to Sedona, which is about another hour south of Flagstaff. On my way to Sedona, I had to refuel at Chipotle and YogurtU once more... since I was going on hike number two of the day! I chose the Cathedral Rock trail, after some quick research on Trip Advisor.

Cathedral Rock was a great last-hurrah for my trip. The red mountains and views in Sedona were brilliant. I wouldn't hesitate to go back another day.

Top of the hike. WHEW! It was basically a climb, not really a hike. Really steep.

Spectacular views.

End of the trail (and it marked the end of my trip!)

A fellow hiker snapped a picture of me without me knowing, while I was sitting on a ledge enjoying the view. Isn't it neat? It looks like I have a hat on, but that's my arm shielding my eyes from the glaring sun.

She came up to me and said, "I think I have a picture you might like." Her name was Katya.

SOOOO WINDY. But gorgeous.

The Petrified Forest National Park sits just off the I-40 freeway, between Albuquerque, NM and Flagstaff, AZ.

Here are some pretty pics I was able to snap.
